Roatan Divers Joins Go Blue Central America Geotourism

Roatan Divers is pleased to announced that we have joined the Go Blue Central America family as a Geotourism Partner!

Go Blue Central America is a cooperation between National Geographic and USAID to provide Central American businesses the opportunity to promote themselves and tell the world what they're all about. GBCA started with their focus on Bocas del Toro, Panama, and Roatan, Honduras, and will be expanding their field to other Central American coastal spots as the project continues. Businesses can be nominated or request to join Go Blue Central America, after which they will be part of an environmental seminar and subject to an environmental inspection before they can be featured on the Go Blue Central America Geotourism website.

We had a great seminar and inspection with Manlio from Go Blue, where we discussed the impact that humans, and tourism in particular, have on mangroves and the reef, and talked about different ways to minimize our environmental impact on our surroundings and promote responsible tourism. We're very excited to join Go Blue Central America and are looking forward to all the positive effects they will have on our beautiful island.

Make sure to check out their website and Facebook page and learn how you can Go Blue!
